Vásquez Boosts Hit Streak to 39 Games Wednesday, September 1st , 2049 Gabriel Vásquez of the MSL Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC has now hit safely in 39 straight games. He socked 2 hits in today's 14-4 triumph over MSL Charleston at MSL Thunder Bay Ballpark. "39 games is a big chunk of the year, isn't it?" Vásquez said to reporters. "It's hard to wrap your head around." Gabriel Vásquez singled in the 2nd, grounded out in the 3rd, walked in a run in the 4th, singled in the 6th and flied out in the 8th. For the season Vásquez is batting .466 with 89 hits and 2 home runs. He has scored 46 times and batted in 49. |
