Hitting Streak Still Alive for Fayarde Wednesday, August 25th , 2049 The streak is alive and well -- at least for today. Jorge Fayarde did it again, bashing 1 hit in the contest at MSL D.C. Ballpark today. For the last 20 games in a row, the 18-year-old shortstop has collected at least one hit. His efforts helped the MSL Montana Pandas beat the MSL D.C. Divided 10-6 today. "I'm happy I kept the streak going," Fayarde told a standing-room-only crowd of reporters gathered in the MSL Montana clubhouse. "Honestly though, I'm looking forward to going home and not thinking about this for the rest of the day." Jorge Fayarde flied out in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, struck out in the 7th and flied out in the 9th. So far this year in 45 games Fayarde is hitting .413 with 1 home run, 34 RBIs and 56 runs scored. |
