Shelton Sizzles with 25-Game Batting Streak Wednesday, August 25th , 2049 Tony Shelton's consecutive-game hitting streak has now climbed to 25 games. The MSL Buckhead second baseman smacked 1 hit against the MSL Panama City Piranhas in today's game at MSL Panama City Ballpark, but he expressed mixed emotions about the streak after watching the Bowties drop the game, 3-1. "I feel good about the streak, but don't feel good when we lose," he told reporters. "I'd love to get a hit as well as a win next time so I can celebrate properly." Tony Shelton grounded out in the 1st, struck out in the 2nd, struck out in the 5th, struck out in the 7th and singled in the 9th. So far this year, Shelton is batting .418 with no home runs and 26 RBIs. |
