Hitting Streak Still Alive for Vásquez Tuesday, August 24th , 2049 MSL Thunder Bay second baseman Gabriel Vásquez keeps on racking up hits every time he plays. His hitting streak now stands at 37 games after collecting 2 hits at MSL Thunder Bay Ballpark today. The Northern Lions BC took the 19-4 victory over the MSL Oakland Oaks. "I have been seeing the ball really good the last few weeks, but I am a bit surprised how things are working out," Vásquez said. "I've gotten a couple flares to drop in, so I've also been a little lucky." Gabriel Vásquez singled in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, grounded out in the 4th, flied out in the 6th, hit a two-run double in the 6th and grounded out in the 8th. So far this season Vásquez is hitting .462 with 2 home runs. |
