Mrevlishvili Belts Bunch of Base Hits Wednesday, August 18th , 2049 No matter what the MSL Buckhead Bowties threw at him today, Vladmir Mrevlishvili hit it. He easily handled Bowties pitching, going 5 for 6 and helping the Oaks to a 14-10 triumph at MSL Oakland Ballpark. "The way I was swinging today, I think I could have closed my eyes and hit the ball," he told BNN reporters in the postgame interview. Told of Mrevlishvili's quip, Bowties skipper Héctor Montoya said he "would take him up on that next time." Vladmir Mrevlishvili hit an RBI double in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Mark Garland in the 6th and grounded out in the 7th. This season Mrevlishvili has banged out 21 hits in 63 at-bats for a .333 average with 2 home runs. He is getting on base at a .417 pace and his totals also include 12 RBIs and 13 runs scored.
