Hitting Streak Still Alive for Vásquez Tuesday, August 17th , 2049 Gabriel Vásquez has been on a tear for several weeks, and his hitting streak just keeps getting longer. The 17-year-old MSL Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC second baseman extended his streak today to 34 games, going 1-for-3 as MSL Thunder Bay got the best of the MSL Nashville Outlaws at MSL Nashville Ballpark, 11-6. "Gabriel has been playing real well lately and we're proud of him," Northern Lions BC manager Peter Williams said. Gabriel Vásquez walked in the 2nd, struck out in the 3rd, flied out in the 6th, walked in the 7th and singled in the 8th. Currently Vásquez is batting .457 with 2 home runs and 41 RBIs. |
