Valdéz's Hit Streak Soars to 20 Games Sunday, August 29th , 2049 The Bethlehem Angel Kitties stopped the Amarillo Warheads today 5-0 and Ángel Valdéz collected a base hit yet again. The Bethlehem catcher finished with 2 hits to run his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20. "I want to get a hit every time up," a visibly excited Valdéz told reporters after the contest. "I want to get a hit every game I play. Right now, I feel like I could take this streak to 100 games." Ángel Valdéz flied out in the 1st, flied out in the 4th, hit a two-run single in the 6th and singled in the 8th. For the season Valdéz has hit .271 with 7 home runs and 51 RBIs. He has played in 83 games and scored 29 times. |
