Suzuki's Hit Streak Reaches 25 Games

Kazunori Suzuki has been on a tear for several weeks, and his hitting streak just keeps getting longer. The 21-year-old North Ft. Myers Gators center fielder extended his streak today to 25 games, going 1-for-5 as North Ft. Myers got the best of the Germantown Uruguayans at Ballpark of Albuquerque, 4-3.
"Kazunori has been playing real well lately and we're proud of him," Gators manager Gilberto Chávez said. Kazunori Suzuki flied out in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, struck out in the 7th and grounded out in the 9th.
Suzuki is hitting .332 this season with 10 home runs, 36 RBIs and 46 runs scored. He has 70 hits in 211 at-bats.
