Bob Hawkins Named 3A's Best Player Saturday, September 26th , 2048 Bob Hawkins took M3L Single A by storm this year, and he did it all at the age of 22. For his spectacular campaign, the Niagara Falls Expos star has been named the 2048 M3L Single A Outstanding Hitter Award recipient. "To be considered amongst the best in the league is overwhelming," said the first baseman. On the season he compiled a .281 batting average to go with a .357 on-base percentage. The native of Alorton, Illinois also added 16 doubles, 2 triples, 20 home runs, 63 RBIs and 56 runs scored. He received 2 first place votes out of a possible 12. Takenao Taniguchi of the Mancelona Torch finished second in voting with 3 first place votes, while Todd McCooke of the Columbia River Rats finished third with 3 first place votes.
