Put-In-Bay Loses Young for Year Saturday, September 4th , 2049 The season is ending on a bad note for Mike Young, reliever for the Put-In-Bay Commodores. It was announced today that he will miss the rest of the season because of injury. Young was hurt against the Belleville Bulls while throwing a pitch. He suffered bone chips in his elbow and will be out for at least 6 months. To date this year, he has registered 1 save, 3 wins and 2 losses with a 2.36 ERA. Young has made 33 relief appearances, worked a total of 49.2 innings and surrendered 38 hits. He has fanned 72, issued 24 free passes and held opposing clubs to a .205 batting average. |
