3A Trophy Goes to Baker of Put-In-Bay Monday, August 30th , 2049 It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the M3L Single A, but last week Phil Baker of the Put-In-Bay Commodores reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Baker rocked opposing pitching for a .588 average (10-for-17), no home runs and 6 RBIs to come away with the award. To date, Baker has collected 53 hits for a .264 average. He has posted 2 home runs, scored 22 runs and driven in 22 runs. |
