Jones and Hernández Suspended, Out 4 Games Monday, August 23rd , 2049 Today the league office handed out 4-game suspensions to Randy Jones of the Storm and Bernardo Hernández of the Commodores for their roles in a benches-clearing skirmish at Storm Park yesterday. The league commissioner said in the statement to both organizations, "This league does not condone fighting and aggressive conduct on the field, thus we had to take action to discourage this behavior in the future." Jones has collected 41 hits for the Storm this year, 0 of them home runs. He has also netted 11 RBIs and scored 19 runs while batting .219. This season Hernández is 3-and-0 with 2 saves and a 1.99 ERA. He has given up 26 hits in 54.1 innings with 76 strikeouts. |
