Cowan Gets Award for Relief Work Wednesday, November 3rd , 2049 2049 was a year to remember for Tony Cowan. The Hollywood Shredders starting pitcher was the owner of a 1.93 ERA this season over 51.1 innings of work. He made 34 relief appearances and had 5 saves, 87 strikeouts, 13 walks and a record of 1 win and 1 loss. He's also now got some hardware, as the 28-year-old has been named the United States Premier League Reliever of the Year Award winner. "It's something I can tell my grandchildren some day, pretty special," he said. Isaac Gunner of the Nova Scotia Leviathan finished second in voting, while Mario Rosales of the Buffalo White Walkers finished third. |
