"He was too darn good for us today," grumbled Vancouver manager David Krause after the 8-0 loss to the Mississippi Mockingbirds. Taaij finished with 4 strikeouts and 4 walks in a strong outing. In the postgame press conference, Mississippi manager Beau Carsten said Taaij "had good velocity, good movement and had those guys off balance. He just pitched his butt off."
