Vancouver Snaps Sugimoto's Streak at 20 Sunday, August 8th , 2049 It was a doubly miserable day today for Mitsuoki Sugimoto of the Hollywood Shredders, as he saw his 20-game hitting streak end and his team lose 6-1 to the Vancouver Grey Wolves at Wolf Den in Vancouver. The 26-year-old shortstop was held hitless in 3 at-bats by the Grey Wolves. "Anyone on a 20-game hitting streak is going to be a tough out," Vancouver manager David Krause said later. "But we had a plan and we were careful about it, and got it done." Sugimoto is batting .324 this year with 4 home runs, 32 RBIs and 40 runs scored. He has 73 hits in 225 at-bats. |
