CL Valseca Elated to Stay with Northern Virginia Sunday, August 8th , 2049 Happy times in Northern Virginia as the Rainbow Mermaids and star closer Juan Valseca put the finishing touches on a $28,500,000 contract extension that will keep the 31-year-old in town 3 years longer. The signing is great news for Northern Virginia because players of this caliber are hard to come by. So far this season Valseca has chalked up a 1.95 ERA with 16 saves. In 29 relief appearances he has registered a 4-3 won-lost record and struck out 59 batters in 37 innings, while walking 13. He has allowed teams to hit .199 against him. |
