Injury Sidelines Felipe Cruz for Season
Wednesday, September 2nd , 2048
Nashville reliever Felipe Cruz could miss the remainder of the season because of a torn rotator cuff. He exited yesterday's Panama City game after injuring himself while throwing a pitch. The original diagnosis said Cruz would be out 9-10 months. Later on his doctors said he could be out even longer. "He's done," his manager commented at the BNN press conference. "It's a season-ending injury, but it could have been worse. It's not the worst-case scenario, so we're happy about that."

To date, Cruz has collected no saves in 19 relief appearances. He has rung up 32 strikeouts and 15 walks in 37 innings while registering a 3.65 ERA and a 1-0 won-lost record.
