Brad Stannard dealt the Mockingbirds a blow in the bottom of the second. Batting with runners on 1st and 2nd and New Orleans leading 2-0, Stannard, who is tied for 6th in the 3L with a 1.007 OPS, hit a 2-0 fastball for a 2-run double.

"It was a good day but I'm not letting my guard down," Sims said. "I'll let my guard down as soon as someone puts a big, fat championship ring on my finger."
