The Las Vegas Flamingos topped the Charleston Battery, 8-1, in Menard's Third League action at Charleston Armory. The game was highlighted by the performance of Las Vegas pitcher Alan Halsall. Halsall, now 5-3, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 3, walking 3, and allowing 1 run. The win puts Las Vegas at 64-43 this season.

It could have been a different outcome for Las Vegas, had it not been for Will Roach, the 25-year old shortstop . Roach contributed a run-scoring double in the top of the second inning to put Las Vegas up, 2-1.

"It all depends on which version of our team shows up," said Roach. "When we put it all together, I think we're a great team."
