Bowties Win at Nashville, 4-3
|
The inspired effort of Nashville left fielder Hsiao-lou Rui was not enough to prevent a loss, 4-3, to the Buckhead Bowties. Rui went 4 for 4 with 4 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Buckhead reliever Adam Wright got the win, raising his record to 4-5. Jim Porter was tagged with the loss. Luis Ornelas was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 1 of 1 save opportunities.
Buckhead used the timely hitting of Dave Richards to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a 2-run single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Bowties on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"I just tried to make good contact," said Richards.
The slumping Outlaws have dropped 8 in a row.
