The Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC turned back the New Orleans Voodoo, 6-5, at The Voodoo Lounge. Eric MacKichan, in particular, had a fine performance. He went 2 for 4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Thunder Bay reliever Armando Trujillo picked up the win to move to 8-2. Ronnie Gómez suffered the loss. Thunder Bay is now 48-46.

Thunder Bay used the timely hitting of Duncan Hutchinson to capture the win. The left fielder socked a solo home run in the top of the tenth inning to put the Northern Lions BC ahead, 6-5. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.

"Our team showed some gumption," said Hutchinson. "I like it."
