The Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC and Las Vegas Flamingos were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.

Starting pitcher Alan Halsall pitched well enough to help the Las Vegas Flamingos beat the Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC, 7-5. Don Williams earned the save, his 27th.

Late-game drama came in the top of the ninth inning. With no one out and the bases empty, the batter, Raúl Miranda, hit a double. It helped Las Vegas seize the win.

"When this team comes together and plays the way we can, we can compete with anyone," said Halsall. "I think we're going to keep proving that."

The Flamingos improve their record to 52-37 with the win over Thunder Bay.
