Outlaws Shut Out Battery, 4-0
|
Nashville picked up a win at Charleston Armory, toppling the Charleston Battery, 4-0. Pitcher Jim Porter was one of the reasons the Outlaws triumphed. The win puts Nashville at 34-51.
Nashville relied on the hitting of Ken Joyner to pick up the win. The second baseman clubbed a 3-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Outlaws on top, 3-0. For the game, Joyner had 1 home run and 2 singles in 4 at-bats.
"It feels good to get this one," Porter told the Nashville News.
