Hirano Leads Cattlemen to Win
|
The Ft. Worth Cattlemen beat the Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC, 5-2, at The Cattle Pen. Tsuneari Hirano, in particular, was impressive. He was 4-4 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once. The winning pitcher was Jason Starkey. He's now 4-2. He went 5.1 innings, allowing 2 runs on 6 hits for the Cattlemen. Jack Buyse, credited with the save, is now 4 for 6 in save opportunities.
Hirano had a big at-bat with runners on 1st and 2nd in the bottom of the second inning, when he hit a 2-run double. The Cattlemen went on to win.
