Flamingos Lose to Piranhas, 5-3
|
Panama City and Las Vegas duked it out and the Piranhas came out victorious.
Panama City pitcher Vicente Molina did his part in helping his team beat the Las Vegas Flamingos, 5-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Molina went 6.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 0, and struck out 5. His record improves to 7-3. Arthur Anderson was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 11 of 17 save opportunities.
In the bottom of the second, with Panama City leading 3-1, Meester Gobbles-Rooster hit a fastball from Román Mejía for a 2-run single, giving the Piranhas the lead, 5-1.
"For the most part, I made good pitches when I needed to," said Molina.
Panama City raised its record to 42-30 with the win.
