Castejón Shines in 6-5 Nashville Win
|
With right fielder José Castejón leading the charge, the Nashville Outlaws defeated the Charleston Battery, 6-5, at Nashville Stadium. Castejón, who is tied for 7th in the 3L in triples with 3, was 4-4 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. He scored 3 times and drove in 4. King Joseph, the winning pitcher, is now 3-3. He went 7.1 innings, allowing 5 runs on 5 hits, while fanning 5 and walking 1. Nashville is 10th in the Third League with a record of 22-29.
Castejón had a timely hit for Nashville in the bottom of the seventh. With Charleston trailing 4-2, he turned a 0-2 changeup into a grand slam home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season, making it 6-4, Nashville.
"It all depends on which version of our team shows up," said Castejón. "When we put it all together, I think we're a great team."
