Divided Drop 3-1 Decision to Cattlemen

Ft. Worth starter Shigochiyo Tanaka put a stranglehold on the D.C. offense. The left-hander had complete command of his fastball in leading the Cattlemen to a 3-1 win. Maverick Handley picked up the save for Ft. Worth, his 10th of the year. The triumph puts Ft. Worth at 26-12 for the season.
John Manley chipped in for Ft. Worth with a solo home run in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the catcher had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 2 runs scored, and 1 run batted in.
"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Ft. Worth manager Scott Thompson.
