Voodoo Sneak Past Northern Lions BC, 7-6

With first baseman Michizane Yamashita leading the charge, the New Orleans Voodoo defeated the Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC, 7-6, at The Voodoo Lounge. Yamashita, who is tied for 6th in the 3L in RBI with 29, went 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 3 and driving in 2. The Voodoo have an impressive 22-13 record.
The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With two out, Yamashita hit a changeup from Josuke Okumura for a run-scoring single. The Voodoo, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
In comments to the New Orleans News, Yamashita admitted that he doesn't always push himself. "But the results," he said, "speak for themselves."
