In baseball, each game is unique. This one was no different.
The Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC defeated the Panama City Piranhas, 7-1, in Menard's Third League action at Great Northern Field. Keaton Kringlen pulled his weight. The 7-year veteran went 3-3 with a double, 2 singles, a walk, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 3 times. The winning pitcher was Casey Ball. His record is now 1-0. The right-hander went 6 innings, allowing 1 run on 6 hits for the Northern Lions BC.
Steve Scott, who is tied for 4th in the 3L in doubles with 11, helped out the Thunder Bay cause in the bottom of the third inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the left fielder went 1-4 with a walk.
"If we keep hitting the ball well, the wins will pile up," said Thunder Bay skipper Scott Williams.
