Piranhas Win Thriller, 4-2
|
The Piranhas grabbed a win, 4-2, at The Tank, overcoming a fine effort from Oakland pitcher Nick Joseph. Joseph went 7.1 innings and allowed 1 run. The win puts Panama City at 12-11 this season.
The game ended with a bang. In the bottom of the ninth, with Panama City trailing 2-1, Meester Gobbles-Rooster jumped on a first pitch cutter from Juan Luis Matos for a 3-run home run, sending the Piranhas to a walk-off win.
