In baseball, each game is unique. This one was no different.

The Las Vegas Flamingos trumped the New Orleans Voodoo, 7-0, at The Strip. Las Vegas third baseman Jake White was terrific. He went 2-4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Las Vegas, now 12-7, has played well in the early going.

Raoul de Gilde took Huibert Illidge deep in the bottom of the second. His 2-run home run put the Flamingos on top, 2-0. In all, de Gilde had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.

"Good baseball players make you a smarter manager," said Las Vegas manager Tom Williams.
