Cattlemen Deal Voodoo 4-2 Loss
|
Ft. Worth beat New Orleans on the strength of starter Gerald Orlebar's fine effort. The left-hander led his team to a win, 4-2. Orlebar, the winner, moves to 1-0. He threw 8 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 6 and giving up no walks. The win puts Ft. Worth at 4-4.
The Cattlemen got an important contribution from designated hitter Kanko Umaba, who in the top of the third hit a 1-0 slider into center for a run-scoring double. It was his 1st double of the season and put the Cattlemen ahead, 2-0.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Umaba told the Ft. Worth Daily.
