Season Over for Bill MacIntosh in Surprise
Thursday, May 31st , 2046
The doctors have spoken and Bill MacIntosh of the Surprise Shockers didn't like what he heard. The 19-year-old shortstop is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. MacIntosh sustained his season-ending injury during the Ballard Beavers game yesterday at Shockers Field. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while running the bases. Today the Surprise medical staff reported MacIntosh had a fractured ankle and would be absent from the lineup for at least 4-5 months.
MacIntosh on the season is batting .163 with no home runs. His totals include 5 RBIs and 5 runs scored. He has played in 24 games.
