Jordan Goes 5-for-5
Friday, August 24th , 2046
It was a sensational day at the plate for Canonniers de Quebec third baseman Oliver Jordan, but a tough one for the team, as the Canonniers de Quebec dropped the contest 9-3 to the Franklin Fire.
Even with the loss, Jordan was pure misery for the Franklin pitching staff. He left them shell-shocked after going 5-for-5 in an explosive display of hitting.
"It's always good to get a bunch of hits in a game, but you also want to win," said Jordan, who is the 19-year old third baseman .
"Jordan really hit the ball hard and when you do that, you've got a good chance to do some damage," Fire manager Iban Hulsbos told BNN reporters after the game. "I feel like we threw him some good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball."
Oliver Jordan singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, doubled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
Jordan is batting at a .276 pace this season, picking up 97 hits in 352 at-bats with 11 home runs, 64 RBIs and 43 runs scored.
