Torres Big Deal in Maine: Hits for Cycle Wednesday, August 1st , 2046 In an outing that will go down in the annals of baseball history, Maine center fielder Felipe Torres hit for the cycle today as the Sea Dogs marched to victory over the Bompton Baby Lakers, 13-10. Torres collected 4 hits in 5 at-bats, including 1 single, 1 double, 1 triple and 1 home run. He added 5 runs batted in and 3 runs scored to help Maine take the Field of the Browns contest. "It was the last thing on my mind, really," Torres said. "I'm out there trying to get a blooper or a walk or whatever might help the team. Even if I had wanted to, hitting for the cycle is probably as much about luck as about skill anyway."
