League Takes Action, Allora Suspended
Friday, July 20th , 2046
The suspension of left fielder Kahaaheo Allora did not sit well with the Moose Jaw Canucks. Both Allora and his manager were livid at what both say is an unjustified 4-game suspension issued today by league officials. Allora was suspended for "inappropriate conduct" during a game against the Ellesmere Island Snowpeople yesterday at The Igloo.
Allora was ejected from the game for arguing a strike call. "It's not right," he said, adding, "I didn't do anything to deserve this. Eject me, but don't suspend me."
His manager also vented his displeasure. "Arguments go on all the time, face-to-face, and there's not a suspension. To be suspended is ridiculous. That's bull."
Allora did more than just argue the call, he threw his bat at the feet of the umpire and walked off the field. That is the main reason the league suspended him.
Thus far this season Allora is hitting .231 with 1 home run, 19 RBIs and 17 runs scored. He has 60 hits in 260 at-bats and has played in 62 games.
