Curry Gets 5 Hits Thursday, August 16th , 2046 Mark Curry put on a hitting clinic today as the Marquette Miners dumped the Tacoma Fur Traders 10-1 at Ballpark of Tacoma. The Marquette left fielder made Tacoma defenders earn their pay, lashing Tacoma pitching for 5 hits in 6 at-bats in the game. He told BNN reporters after the game that his strategy was "just hit it where they pitched it." "Too often I try too hard to pull the ball," Curry said in his postgame press conference. "Today, I just went with the pitch." Mark Curry hit an RBI single in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Cameron Shipp in the 6th, flied out in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 9th.
