Alfonzo Triumphs as PL Rookie of Year Saturday, November 3rd , 2046 Augusto Alfonzo's age didn't show very often in his first year. He performed more like a veteran on the hill for the Greenville 84s and today he walked away with the 2046 United States Premier League Newcomer of the Year Award. The 24-year-old starter registered a 9-4 record this season in 21 starts. Over 106 innings he gave up 88 hits, struck out 84 and issued 27 walks as he held the opposition to a .220 batting average and fashioned a 2.63 ERA. Francisco Daulong of the Greenville 84s finished second in voting, while Conor March of the Athletic Club KC finished third. |
