van Opdorp Goes Hitless, Streak Stopped at 25 Saturday, September 1st , 2046 Eisse van Opdorp had his hitting streak snapped at 25 games today during a 4-2 Boston win over the Long Island Lighthouse at Dunkin Donuts Park. The 31-year-old first baseman was hitless in 4 at-bats. "Had to end sometime," van Opdorp said, shrugging.
