Patriots Hammered by Marley, Drop Game 1 to Coeur

The St. Louis Coeur started the ToC Semi-Finals in style today, winning on the road against the Boston Patriots at Dunkin Donuts Park by a score of 6-5 to take an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-5 series. Coeur right fielder Daniel Marley excelled. He was 2 for 4 with a home run and a double, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once.
Marley turned the game around in the top of the seventh. That's when the St. Louis right fielder dialed up a 3-run home run. Just like that, St. Louis's 5-3 deficit turned into a 6-5 lead.
"We lost," Boston manager Tyler Carter said later. "We'll deal with it. The series isn't over."
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Dunkin Donuts Park in Boston.
