Martín Pliego, the 27-year old right fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Pliego contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the 11th inning to put Mississippi up, 3-2.

"We're happy," Miniato told reporters after the win. "When you're in the playoffs, you've got to treat every game like it could be your last."
