Tigers Squelch Trash Pandas Offense in Shutout Win
The Twinsburg Tigers beat the Watford City Trash Pandas, 4-0, at Dodge Field. The win was due in part to pitcher Jean Duval, who came in in relief and pitched to 18 batters. Duval got the win, improving to 1-1. He allowed 2 hits and walked 0 over 5.1 innings. Duval allowed no runs. The win for the Tigers raised their record to 49-42.

The Tigers got an important contribution from shortstop John Maxwell, who in the bottom of the second knocked a 1-1 fastball into right-center for a 2-run double. It was his 11th double of the season and put the Tigers ahead, 3-0.

Maxwell attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
