Otani Leads Fire to Win
Tsugahara Otani made an impact in the 9-3 Franklin win over Ballard. Otani, who leads the 3R in bases on balls with 77, went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 5. Franklin goes to 60-20. The win puts them 8½ games up in their division.

The Fire got a big at-bat from right fielder Frank Teague. For the game, Teague went 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the first, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 22nd home run of the season gave Franklin a 3-0 lead.

"I'm not out there for personal accomplishments," Otani told a Franklin News reporter after the game. "I'm out there to help the team win, and that's what we did today."
