The Ballard Beavers picked up a win at The Beaver Dam, knocking off the Ellesmere Island Snowpeople, 2-0. On the mound for Ballard was right-hander Ricardo Méndez, who played a pivotal role in the win. Ballard reliever Jason Kofod picked up the win, upping his record to 4-1. Elias Visscher absorbed the loss. The victory gives Ballard a record of 41-34.

Ballard took a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the eighth inning, when Reynaldo Velásquez hit a clutch 2-run home run to bring Beavers fans to their feet.

Velásquez called the win the result of "everyone working in tandem."
