Snowpeople Scratch Out 2-1 Win
|
In a low-scoring affair between the Ellesmere Island Snowpeople and the Ballard Beavers, pitcher Walt Gould was the difference between victory and defeat. The Ellesmere Island right-hander earned accolades in the 2-1 Snowpeople win. The winning pitcher was Gould, now 5-6. He tossed 5 innings of 2-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 8.
