Franklin Makes It 7 Straight with 5-4 Win
The Franklin Fire had to overcome a fine effort from Twinsburg pitcher Ricardo Ramírez to grab a narrow 5-4 win at Dodge Field. Ramírez went 6 innings and allowed 3 runs. Franklin reliever Kent Ávila picked up the win, raising his record to 2-0. Pie-qi Huang was tagged with the loss. The first-place Fire have won 7 straight.

The game was at a stalemate until right fielder Frank Teague came to bat in the top of the ninth. Facing Twinsburg pitcher Pie-qi Huang, he hit a first pitch fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Franklin on top, 5-4.

"This is a very good team," said Teague. "We have the chance to do something special."
