Fire Come Up Short at Canonniers de Quebec, 3-2

The Canonniers de Quebec and Franklin Fire played an exciting game.
The Canonniers de Quebec faced a tough opponent in Franklin pitcher Barry van den Hombergh, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Paints Ballpark by a final score of 3-2. van den Hombergh went 7 innings and allowed 3 runs. Canonniers de Quebec reliever Bertrando Alberigo picked up the win, raising his record to 1-1. Barry van den Hombergh was tagged with the loss.
The Canonniers de Quebec got a big hit from center fielder Artie Smith. In the bottom of the sixth, Smith pounded a solo home run to right. His 11th home run of the season put the Canonniers de Quebec ahead, 3-2.
