Baby Lakers Come Back Late to Top Fire, 8-5
|
The Bompton Baby Lakers bested the Franklin Fire, 8-5, at Lawmen Ballpark. Kuniyuki Sato was one of the standouts. He went 3 for 5 with 3 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The win makes Bompton 19-12.
The most crucial at-bat for Bompton came in the top of the ninth inning. That's when Sato stroked a first pitch fastball to left-center for a 2-run single, putting Bompton up, 6-5.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Sato. "And not try to do too much."
