|
No one was more impactful than Reynaldo Velásquez in the 5-4 Ballard win over Crowley. Velásquez belted 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Ballard goes to 6-4.
The game was at a stalemate until left fielder Scott Donovan came to bat in the top of the ninth. Facing Crowley pitcher Michael Leal, he hit a 0-1 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Ballard on top, 5-4.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Velásquez. "And not try to do too much."
