St. Louis starter Sidney Petty pitched well against the Nova Scotia Leviathan at The Dungeon in Halifax. The right-hander led his team to a win, 8-3. In 7 innings, Petty surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 1. He allowed 3 runs. The win elevated the Coeur to 61-47.

St. Louis used a well-timed hit by Rafael Martínez to capture the win. The right fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the third inning to put the Coeur ahead, 4-0. Though it was his only hit in 2 at-bats, it was important.

"Winning is all that really matters and we got it done today," Petty told the St. Louis Chronicle.
